Spain comes to Stratford
On Sunday 1 May, Stratford will celebrate Spanish writer Cervantes (of Don Quixote fame) who died on the same date as Shakespeare (23 April 1616). He inspired Shakespeare's writing and as a tribute, the town will host a fantastic programme of Spanish-themed events.
Much of the activity will centre on Henley Street in the afternoon. There you can experience the excitement of Flamenco dancing and theatre in the streets, sample typical Spanish fare and discover more about Cervantes.
