Time to get creative
The RSC invites everyone to celebrate this year's birthday in its brilliantly transformed theatres. There's lots to do both inside and out, with imaginative and fun activities for all ages.
Enjoy Sweet Celebrations and see Shane Waltener's sugar craft turn a gallery into a giant birthday cake. Find the Love Seat and be enchanted with words of adoration or just relax on the river as an actor performs on the Sonnet Ferry. Activities for children can be found in Weston Square with 'make and take' masks, Yorick skulls and Shakespeare colouring sheets. Also look out for the animated character Billy and his pet pig Francis as they seek play-writing inspiration and celebrate the birthday in style.
Shakespeare's 'lost play' Cardenio plays in the Swan Theatre at 1.30pm and 7.30pm.
