Who’s involved in the
Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations?
The 2011 Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations bring together international dignitaries, performance artists,
theatre groups, musicians and writers as well as local government, businesses and the community.
This year’s event guarantees to treat Stratford and its visitors to a riot of colour, carnival and

Marion Morgan
Marion Morgan - is a well known local musician and community artist who has lived in Stratford for many years. She has been involved in many community arts events in London and Stratford including the Birthday Celebrations and Christmas Festival and has worked closely with groups such as the Town Management Partnership and Stratford Civic Hall. She works as music co-ordinator for Escape Insight Arts.
Her performance history covers all areas of music, from Opera to Folk, Jazz to Classical Chamber music and she has recently put strings on a thrash metal album!
She plays in folk rock band ColvinQuarmby and with them has a busy schedule of festival appearances this summer, including Fairport Convention's Cropredy Festival.
